Today we are seeing how so many Retailers are in trouble. They have failed to adapt their business model to changing technology, changing customer preferences, failed marketing models. If you are no longer relevant, why will customers buy from you.
Many retailing giants and household names have either vanished or in difficulty. ToysRus, Radio Shack, Maplins, House of Frazer.
When I was in BT as GM of Business Transformation & Innovation, I made a presentation to try to catalyse change, While it is almost two decades only and the dot-com era had only just begun, I would like to share this work with you as many of the lessons and observations are still true.
The real lesson is that the organisations with Drive, and Adaptability survive and grow and those that don’t gradually become irrelevant.
